RI President Lee reminds us that Membership is the responsibility of each one of us. He said that every one of us has an obligation to keep Rotary strong, active, and growing; and that if we hope to Make Dreams Real for the world’s children in a meaningful and lasting way, we must ensure a new generation of Rotarians to continue our work.

August is Membership month in our Rotary calendar, so let us be aware of our responsibility to look for and invite new members to our club.

Allow me to remind every responsible member to pay their monthly dues, including our induction assessment and other past due accounts, since our RI dues and PRM payables will be due this month.

We will have our Governor’s visit during our regular club meeting on August 19, 2008, barely two weeks from today. So I am reminding all committee chairmen to prepare and submit their plans and programs for RY 2008-2009. Consolidation of the different reports will be an important agendum of our upcoming monthly board meeting this Thursday, August 7 at Ocean city. Please find time to finish and present your plans at the board meeting.

Also at the board meeting this Thursday, we will propose and plan for several projects, like the medical mission at Brgy. San Vicente, tentatively on the last week of August. We will discuss too the use of donated money for flood-related projects. I am inviting all non-board members to attend and join the board meeting. This is also a good opportunity to make up for any attendance absence.
