Today, we will be electing the President Elect and Officers of the Rotary Club of Metro Iloilo for Rotary Year 2010 to 2011. Last week, members were nominated for the different positions, and I believed that all nominees are fully qualified and are committed to serve our club. To our members, it might be difficult to decide who to elect, but just choose a member who best exemplify the ideals of Rotary and  has the will and capability to lead our club and carry on the legacy left to us by our leaders for the past 30 years. To our elected members, be committed; be patient and strong, for in the end, your accomplishments will strengthen the very foundation of this great institution (RCMI) that our leaders and members had nurtured for the past 30 years. On December 17, 2008, we will have our second Blood Letting Project for the year at the Guimbal District Hospital. This project has benefited many of our brothers and sisters who were in need of blood during times of emergency. Let us be there to be a part of this noble project.

We will have our Christmas party on December 21, 2008 (Sunday) at Anhawan Beach Resort. This will be a wholesome family affair together with our spouse and children for a day of fun and fellowship. This is also an opportunity for our children, the next generation of Rotarians, to experience true Rotary fellowship and camaraderie in action while commemorating the coming of our Savior Child Jesus.  Be there and enjoy!
