Last week, our club delivered equipment and reading materials to our adopted daycare center in Barangay San Isidro, Jaro, Iloilo City. Even though our help cannot adequately address the total needs of our adopted daycare center, but the teachers and parents deeply appreciated our gesture and were consoled that there are people who show concern to their situation. We need more projects like this.

In the recently concluded District Conference of our Rotary District 3850, two of our projects were given recognition by the District. Our BALAY DALANGPAN and the DONATION OF A FIRE TRUCK were awarded DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARDS by our Governor. Our RCMI WEBSITE was also adjudged as the second best website in our district. Two of our members, PDG Ramon Cua Locsin and PP Chris Montero, were also cited and given awards for their invaluable assistance and support to the District. Congratulations to all our members who are behind the successful implementation of these projects.

Our club accepted the hosting of the DISTAS (District Assembly) to be held in Iloilo City on April 4, 2009 for all Rotary clubs in the island of Panay. IP Apuy Chan Chu was appointed overall chairman. Let us extend our support to IP Apuy for a successful hosting.
