The past week has been rather busy. Right after our regular meeting last Tuesday, PP Bing, Dir. Abay and I went to attend the culmination rites of the dressmaking training seminar that was held at the Jaro Cathedral. This very successful project was made possible through the effort of Dir. Felix Then last Wednesday evening PP Fernie, Dir. Darrel and I were able to finalize the details of the water supply project that was already financed by the late PDG Kingslan for Barangay Nabitasan in Leganes. Hopefully this project will be started this week and will be completed after 2 weeks. Last Saturday evening we successfully held our first fellowship for this Rotary year at Club 21 in Smallville. At least 22 members were able to attend. It was a festive night of good food and overflowing drinks and camaraderie. We also enjoyed a night of music as we took turns in singing with the superb karaoke system that came with the venue. We had the best singer (and dancer??) in the person of Dir. Leo who consistently scored 100 pts every time he sang. There were group singing too. Everybody had fun! Congratulation to Rtn Paul, our fellowship chairman, for a job well done! I am trying to schedule our next fellowship before the end of this month at the home of PP Joe III. |
