Last Friday during the Council of Presidents meeting at The Promenade, it was agreed upon by the all club presidents that we shall allocate 25% of our PCP funds (from the district simplified grant) for the Anti TB drive of our District Governor. This project will include the upgrading of the x-ray equipments of the Philippine Tuberculosis Society Inc. which is in dire need of the upgrade so that it may continue to serve the people inflicted by TB in the city. In addition, the club presidents of Zone 3, where we are part of, also agreed to come up with a separate project exclusively for clubs within Zone 3 only. Our club will be spearheading this undertaking. As the Metro Sports fest is fast approaching, I would like to call on PE Toto to hold a series of meetings for our delegation to the upcoming meet so that we will be better prepared, and hopefully recapture the overall championship. In next week's regular meeting on September 15, we will have a guest speaker from the Regional Highway Patrol to give us more insight on the rules and regulation of our traffic and road use. Guidelines on the use of sirens, especially on its abuse, will also be discussed. The Rotary club of Victorias is inviting our golfers to a fund raising golf tournament this coming Sept 26 and 27 at the Bacolod Golf and Country Club. The registration fee is only Php1500.00. Finally I would like to again remind all members who have past due accounts to please settle your outstanding financial obligation to the club. The board has decided to give a deadline on October 15 for the settling of these overdue accounts, and then we will start weeding out these delinquent members. |
