It's sports fest preparation time once again and we will be fielding a strong team for this year’s Metro Sports fest at Lucena City in October. Once again also, we would like to solicit financial aid from our fellow Rotarians who would not be joining us-- to help defray some of the expenses of our delegation, because representing our club by attending this affair do cost a lot, not just financially but also their time, effort and distraction from job or profession. Therefore let us show our support not just in spirit but also in monetary terms.

Right after today’s meeting we will proceed to the Fort San Pedro High School to visit and turn over new educational tools and equipments to our own Paul Harris Automotive Training Center. Let me encourage those who have spare time to please come join us.

Next Tuesday’s meeting we will have some people from PLDT as guests. They will be updating us on their promotional activities, their latest services and products. Let us in advance thank them for that and also for sponsoring our lunch. I hope we will have a very good turnout in terms of attendance.

Lastly, we are in the process of finalizing the details of our anti rabies project in Barangay San Juan Molo. This project would be the pilot project offering a comprehensive program which would include not only the vaccination but also the castration of dogs. An educational seminar for pet owners will also be held, as well as an awareness program to catch stray dogs in order to lessen the danger to the public. Hopefully we can greatly help in the eradication of rabies in the city of Iloilo.
