I have some good news and bad news to report to our club. First the good news: we have been given the honor and privilege to host the 20th version of our National Metro Sports fest next year, scheduled tentatively on Oct. 14 to 16, 2010.  Another good news is that our delegation to the 19th Metro Sports Fest is now back safely in Iloilo and all are uninjured after the hard competition and in good health.  The bad news is that we didn't win the overall championship at Lucena as we only got the 2nd overall.  Not bad considering our members played their hearts out and did the best.  We are all winners in this wonderful fellowship gathering.  Hopefully when we go to the next out -of-town sports fest at General Santos in 2011, more members would be able to join us.

While in Manila PDG Toto, AG Kano and I went to check on the design of our mobile kitchen and I could say that it is definitely first class. We are just waiting for the final quotation on the cost, and after our approval the job will begin immediately.

We had a fruitful meeting with our sister club the Rotary Club of North Edsa and when I presented to them our donation of Php5,000.00, they were very happy to have received the check from our club as it is badly needed by the typhoon victims. They in turn discussed with me some projects that we could jointly do with them.

Finally, I would like to thank all the members who joined us in Lucena and also to those who shared with us their very much needed financial assistance. Again a very Big Thank You!
