Last week after our regular meeting Dir Abay, PP Kano, PP Ronnel, Rtn Jojo and I went to Guimbal Central Elementary School and to Guimbal National High School to distribute about 400 pcs. of books and workbooks to these two schools.  The book donations are largely appreciated as their libraries have mostly outdated books for reference and research.  Last Saturday too, Dirs. Darrel,  Abay, Rtn Jojo and I went to Duenas to distribute another 400 pcs.of books there.  We were enthusiastically welcomed by the students and they were quite excited and thankful to have new and colorful books as references.

This weekend we are planning to distribute our remaining 500 plus workbooks to the municipalities of  Carles, Balasan and Estancia. I am still waiting for information regarding the exact number of their student population.  Anyway I'll just keep the membership informed as to the final schedule.

I would like to remind Dir Abay and Rtn Paul Francia to prepare for our Christmas party as early as possible so that we may also disseminate the details to our members soonest.  Hopefully our members can schedule the date on their calendar so that we will have a better attendance than last year.

And lastly, I would like to remind everyone that on Nov 24 or next meeting, we would be nominating our new sets of officers for Rotary year 2010-2011, so please give some thought on who you would like to lead our great club.
