Regretfully we have to postpone the trip to Carles, Balasan and Estancia due to lack of members who would be able to join me.  Instead we will be going this Saturday as I have already scheduled this trip and book donation with the respective schools.  So I hope that more members would take the time to join and serve others.

Today we will have our nomination for the officers and members of the board for the year 2010-2011. This year I hope it would be different from previous years where in those who were nominated mostly declined and instead we have to “force” those who are, more or less, not yet ready to serve our club.  We must remember that we joined this club not just for fellowship but also to serve.  We must remember that the position seeks the individual not the other way around.

Finally, I was able to talk with Rtn. Leo Malunes while he is in Norway and he has confirmed to me that the Gift of Life Foundation has approved not 5 but 10 patients for our upcoming heart surgery project.  Good news indeed!  So now we'll be scheduling two sessions instead of one.  I'll be getting the details on the transfer of the funds from PP Philip Hagedorn and then start the final preparation for this project.

My big thanks to PP Kano for hosting at Tagbak our regular meeting last Tuesday, which includes a sumptuous lunch for all of us!  Congratulations too, PP Kano on your new business endeavor!
