Metro Sport Fests

Dear Fellow Rotarian,

A blessed and wonderful Day!

Good news!  In the recently concluded Metro Sport Fests, we ranked First Runner Up.  We remain tough and undefeated in all the major events such as basketball, bowling, golf and darts.  However, we lost few points to get the championship crown because of unavailability of players to the minor events which other clubs used to capitalize.  With our performance this year, I am sure we can regain the crown in the succeeding years.  What matters most is that we have achieved our goal by participating and enjoying with our fellow Metro Rotarians in this sports competition.

I am very grateful to all the Rotarians who spent time, money and marvellous efforts to bring honor to the club.  And to all the members, in whatever capacities, have helped and supported   this activity.

The next sports fest will be hosted by RC Metro Dadiangas on October 21-24, 2011.  We have learned a lesson this year and we can do better if more Rotarians would join and participate in this annual competition.

ON TO KOREA
As the days of our scheduled visit to RC Ansung East, South Korea draw near, it becomes more exciting and thrilling.  Except for a few whose Visa are still in process, almost all the delegates have already complied with the travel requirements.  Schedules of itinerary is already in place and hopefully it could bring a more comfortable and enjoyable trip. We hope this reciprocal visit would seal the bond of a faithful partnership and friendship and later translated to a very beneficial community project in the days to come.

VOCATIONAL SERVICE MONTH
In the Rotary calendar, the month of October is Vocational Service Month.  We are exhorted to discover and use our professional expertise to help others who are in need.  In line with this, Director Abay has conceived and prepared a project relation to this avenue of service.  He will discuss the details and implement the same soonest upon his arrival next week.
