Dear Fellow Rotarians,

Let us welcome back our delegates from RC Ansung East, South Korea. I am confident that they really enjoy the Korean sojo and kimchi and above all experience the Korean hospitality. Furthermore, their visit would instigate exchanges of visits, joint projects and consequently seal long and lasting friendship. To all the delegates, thank you for representing and bringing honor and to the club!

Vocational Service Projects
This vocational service month, Dir. Abay has introduced two (2) maiden projects, a Livelihood Training Program-Cosmitology and Vocational Scholarship for Don Bosco Students at Dumangas, Iloilo, made possible through the support and kindness of RTN. Felix Gurrea. The first project was launched earlier and will be concluded this 30th of October 2010. Certificates of Completion will be awarded to the participants who attended the training/seminar of this livelihood program. The second project is about to be commenced. Schedules will be furnished to us soon. On 30th October 2010, Metro Iloilo Rotarians are invited to attend the ceremonial awarding of the certificates to the graduates of the livelihood program.

Adopt a school project
Last week, Rtn. Darrel has submitted to us the repair estimate of the proposed rehabilitation/improvement of the school clinic of Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School in the amount of P109,000.00 more or less. The cost estimate is quite high considering the available funds left in our coffer at this moment. However, we can trim it down considering that there are materials we have seen in the site that are still usable. Likewise, we can surely peg to the minimum the labor cost since Rtn. Darrel Balogo promised to lower it down. In this regard, we are asking again your benevolence on this undertaking. Knowing your generosity, we can start this project to at least alleviate the present health status of the school children.
