VP Margs Morano is such a lucky person. I learned that sometime ago, he won a brand new car from a store raffle. Last week when IPP/Sec. Toto Tanagon held a raffle for the 100% attendance for RY2010-2011, it was PP Margs who won the prize, a Lenovo netbook computer!!! He won over the eight other 100% attendance qualifiers. The prize was donated by PE Philip Co.

Today, VP Margs will preside over our 4th Regular Weekly Meeting in my absence. I simply have a very important business to take care of that I cannot put off. The visit of our friends from Korea came after I have already made commitments for this date.

Despite some constraints in time we have foreseen some issues that might be an impediment to our successful hosting of our guests as well as their request for a medical mission in the depressed communities in our city. However with the quick action of our officers namely: Dir. Dave Jamora, Dir. Pepe Sullano, PP Ronnel Quinon, IPP/Sec. Toto Tanagon, VP Margs Morano, PP Tony Sangrador, PDG Toto Cua Locsin, Past Sec. Leo Villavert, Rtn. Paul Francia and the rest of the Board, I felt assured that the event will be another success. Other than the aforementioned names, I know that I can also bank on the rest of the members for their support. They are those who keep their silence but give all their best when needed. To you all go my wholehearted thanks and appreciation.

District Governor Melvin Dela Serna has scheduled his club visit on the evening of August 16, 2011. Our noon time meeting is moved to 7:00PM on that date. In this regard, I would like to encourage all the Director Chairmen to submit the final draft of their plans and objectives so we can prepare your respective multimedia presentations. Our Club Assembly will be on August 9, 2011.

Lastly, I would like to extend my greetings and welcome to our guests from RC Jeju Central and the members of the Volunteer Service from Jeju National University, Jeju, Republic of Korea. May you have a pleasant and enjoyable experience in Iloilo City. I look forward to a stronger relationship and more fruitful partnership in our service to the community.
