First Quarter of RY 2011-2012

We only have two more weeks to go before the first quarter of Rotary Year 2011-2012 comes to a close. As I was trying to make an assessment as to where we are at this point of the Rotary Year, I would say that a lot still has to be done. We are not even close to what we were expected to do.

Some of our plans were successfully implemented, some satisfactorily, some are still in progress, but those that ought to have been started have not taken off yet. In this regard, I would like to request all the Chairmen of committees and sub-committees to review their summary of plans and objectives with their members and identify the factors that hinder the full implementation of their plans. By doing so, you can zero in to the problems and come up with solutions.

We only have a little more than a quarter of the year to implement our plans. What we still need is a signature project that we can sustain and be proud to have truly benefited the community. This project however, ought not to solely rest on the shoulders of the Community Service committee but to all of us members of RCMI. So let us gather our heads together and come up with this project. And with all the members’ commitment and support, implement it!
