“Rotary is a worldwide network of inspired individuals that translate their passions into relevant social causes to positively change lives in communities.”

The above definition is how Rotary is aptly described. As Rotarians, we must be the inspired individuals who translate our passions into relevant social causes to positively change lives in our communities.

Who among us Rotarians feel that we fit the description to a T? Who among us believe that we can’t even come close?

In numbers there is strength, so they say, and size is might! The Rotary Club of Metro Iloilo is the biggest club in the district with 60 members. It ought to follow that we have the strength and the might. Do we? I will be the first to admit that WE DO!

We have done it in the past, and we can do it again:

• only if each one of us will put his heart into what we must do;
• only if each member will commit to support and actively participate in all club activities;
• only if each member will make attendance in club meetings a priority activity every Tuesday; and
• only if we make Rotary our passion and not just an escape from a boring life or a stressful job.

The Membership Committee is passing out survey questions, which if answered honestly, may be able to help your club officers make your RCMI membership exciting, wholesomely pleasurable, professionally gainful and fulfilling. Through this the leadership hopes to redirect our course towards a
more successful Rotary year.
