The Board, in its recent meeting looked into the financial situation of the club. After three months of operation we have fully paid our S1 SAR and subscription to the PRM on time, fully paid our induction bill, project expenses and settled all obligations pertaining to our operating cost. From our collection for dues, assessments, subscriptions donations and collectibles, we are financially in good shape for the whole Rotary year (refer to the Treasurer’s Report in your Metro Post). What is disheartening, is that we only have very few members to implement the plans and objectives that were conceptualized early on. I made a request to all committee chairs to go over their plans with their members and submit a budget for the board to allocate. Only Dir. Abay of the PR committee came with a prepared budget. Thank you Dir. Abay! We are a club that is fortunate to have the resources and is endowed with members with highly sound ideas but only a very few have the heart to step up, participate actively and work on the goal of bringing back the glory to RCMI. Not a single member wants the club to fail. All of us want our club to be successful, as we take pride in belonging to a strong, active and successful club. When a club is successful, the numero uno, the credit does not go to a few members or the officers alone. It goes to all of its members. Fellow RCMI Rotarians, let us do our share in making our club the strongest, most successful club in the district and take pride that we have a part in it. |
