Dear Fellow Rotarians,

Today is another remarkable day in the history of our club.  After the excitement of waiting, the moment has finally come that fellow Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Ansung East, South Korea led by President Jeong Geon Young are present today to expressly affirm our Sisterhood covenant.   Let us all offer them warm Ilongo WELCOME and unique Metro Rotarian HOSPITALITY. Let’s make their visit to us enjoyable, memorable and more meaningful!

Day Care Center Visitation  & Feeding
Tomorrow, Sept. 3, 2010, we will be conducting a visitation to our adopted Day Care Centers in Brgy. Airport  and Brgy. Calubihan, Mandurriao, Iloilo City,  together with our guest Rotarians from RC Ansung East. Afterwhich, we will proceed to Arevalo Elem. School, Arevalo, Iloilo City to facilitate the feeding of about 1,500 pupils more or less.  I am appealing the indulgence of all Metro Rotarians to join us in this activity.

Blood Letting Program (Part 2)
PP RonneI Quiñon has informed that our sponsored Blood Letting program, phase two (2) to be conducted at Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital, Cabatuan, Iloilo, is moved from October 2010 to September 25, 2010.  We must do our share to support the blood letting efforts so we can help address the mounting demands of blood due to the alarming rise of dengue in our community.

Inter color & Metro Sports Fests
Last week we have finished the drafting of our members/players that will compose Team Blue under Team Leaders PP Kano Ng & Rtn. Darrel Balogo and Team Yellow headed by IPP Apuy Chan Chu and Dir. Margs Morano.  Events Chairmen were also appointed and next week the team leaders and chairmen will convene to discuss game/event schedule as well as the mechanics.  This club inter sports is a tune up game in preparation for our annual Metro Sports Fest that will start on October 7, 2010 to be hosted by RC Metro Bacolod.  Please coordinate with your respective team leaders in accordance with the drafting list hereto provided.
