Dear Rotarians of District 3850 and 3860, We invite you to Celebrate 25 Years of the Rotary Community Corps by attending the RCC Seminar on August 24, 2011 at Hotel del Rio, Iloilo City, where Rotary International President Elect Sakuji Tanaka will be the guest of honor and speaker. This is an initiative of the ten (10) Rotary International Districts in the Philippines and its partner organizations, the Philippine College of Rotary Governors (PCRG) and the Rotary Village Corps Foundation, Inc. (RVC). The RCC is a community empowerment system that was introduced by the first and only Filipino President of Rotary International, MAT Caparas in 1985 and pilot implementation was started in 1986 in the Philippines. By 1989, the RCC program was implemented globally. Today 7,006 RCCs with a membership of 161,138 are organized in 75 countries. There are 1,393 RCCs with around 42,500 membership organized all over the Philippines. The 10 Rotary Districts involved are composed of around 850 Rotary Clubs with a membership of around 20,500 and the 1,393 RCCs in the Philippines. The RCC Silver Anniversary Roadshow will be in three locations: Hotel Intercontinental, Makati on August 23, 2011; Barasoain Center for Innovative Education (BarCIE) Malolos, Bulacan on August 26, 2011 for Luzon Rotarians; and Hotel Del Rio, Iloilo City on August 24, 2011 for Visayas and Mindanao Rotarians. Contact Persons Organizing Committee Chairman Hotel Accommodations and Transportation Expected to attend will be around 450 Rotarians and RCC members from Visayas and Mindanao, representing more than 150 Rotary Clubs from Districts 3850 and 3860. So, please register early and be part of this celebration. This would also be a great chance (and photo opportunity) for Club Presidents-Elect to meet their RI President for RY 2012-2013.
